Less app,
more focus

No moving visuals, music, unnecessary sounds, or distracting animations here. PomodoroTimer is designed to be as simple as possible, with nothing here to break your focus.

What is Pomodoro?

Focusing today is harder than it's ever been.

We open a movie, and a few minutes later our hand reaches for the phone. We start a task, and a notification pulls our attention away. We're reading something, switch to another tab, and forget why we even went there.

Because our everyday life is full of stimuli constantly trying to pull our attention elsewhere. Notifications, social media, short videos, ads, endlessly changing content... We're up against countless things designed to break our focus. That's why different methods have been tried for years to help us focus longer and use our time more efficiently. The Pomodoro Technique is one of them.

Developed by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s, Pomodoro splits work time into short periods of focus and rest.

The idea is simple:

Focus only on the task in front of you for a set period. Then take a break. Then start again.

Why Pomodoro?

Easier to Start

Instead of thinking about finishing a big task all at once, you focus on the short stretch of time in front of you.

You Give Your Full Attention to One Thing

You focus on only one task during your work session. You leave your phone, notifications, and other distractions behind for a while.

You Won't Skip the Break

Stopping is as much a part of the cycle as working. Instead of working nonstop, you build a rhythm between focus and rest.

You See Your Progress

Every focus cycle you complete makes your progress feel concrete.

The power of Pomodoro isn't in being complex.

It's in being simple.

It forces you to sit your ass down and focus for a solid 25 minutes at a time.
